Frightening moment car hits baby pram at zebra crossing in West London

Heart-stopping moment driver ploughs into buggy with baby inside and sends it flying through the air after failing to stop at zebra crossing - but amazingly the child is unhurt

This is the heart-stopping moment a driver ploughed into a baby's pram, throwing the infant across a road at a zebra crossing.

The car mowed into the pram in Parsons Green, West London, narrowly missing the woman pushing the buggy.

Footage of the collision, which occurred at 4.30pm yesterday, shows the pram skidding across the street.

Amazingly, the baby is believed to be OK and can be seen moving its arms after the horrifying crash. 

The vehicle appears to have ample time to stop as the car approaches the crossing, but it pushes on relentlessly.

The pram is flung from the woman's grip as it swings into the air with the infant strapped inside. 

A CCTV clip of the incident shows how the woman proceeds casually over the crossing as the car looms in the distance.
