WWE superstar, Roman Reigns, has joined the cast of Hobbs and Shaw alongside his fellow athlete and People’s Champ, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Roman Reigns, real name Joe Anoa’i, will turn his athletic talents to Hollywood, following in the footsteps of his colleague and signing onto another Fast and Furiousfranchise.
Dwayne, who’ll be playing his brother in the film, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, took to Instagram to make the announcement.
The man with the ever energetic eyebrows congratulated his new co-star on his casting in the first of what is surely set to be many, many Fast and Furious spin-off films.
Anoa’i and Johnson posed in characteristically muscular fashion for the big reveal.
The Rock said he looked forward to seeing Roman Reigns back in the ring – and on set – after he was forced to surrender his WWE championship belt in October last year after it was revealed that his leukaemia had resurfaced.
The Rock shared his ‘lil Hobbs & Shaw exclusive’ with ‘The brothers’ raw’:
Good times droppin’ sweat and spillin’ blood with my family, @RomanReigns who’ll be playing my brother in our FAST & FURIOUS UNIVERSE.I’m very proud of his focus, effort and authentic performance in our movie for his very first time on film.I’m also very grateful to spend this quality time with my cousin here in the islands as he takes life one day at a time to recover from leukaemia [sic].
